Weather Outpost

The automatic weather station is a completely autonomous complex for measuring environmental parameters that requires minimal routine maintenance. Constant measurement of parameters combined with satellite information allows accurate forecasting of weather conditions and prediction of critical events such as hurricanes, dust storms, Marsquakes, and other naturally occurring hazards.

A network of such weather posts located in an area around the colony allows for accurate weather prediction. This is very important information that is used to prepare for natural disasters and minimize damage to buildings and equipment. Weather forecasts are very important for drone flights.
